Whole wheat momos

Ingredients for red color dough:-
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup beetroot juice
  • Salt

Ingredients for orange color dough:-
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup carrot juice 
  • Salt

Ingredients for green color dough:-
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup spinach juice 
  • Salt 

Ingredients for filling:-
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 7-8 cloves finely chopped garlic
  • 1/2 inch finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • Salt 
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar (optional)

Method for veggies:-






Pour oil in a wok and add chopped ginger garlic, saute for 1 minute, then add chopped onions, saute them for 1 minute, add carrot in it, saute for 1 to 2 minutes, add capsicum and cabbage saute them for 2 to 3 minutes, finally add salt and vinegar, saute for 2 to 3 minutes or till done. Keep aside.

Method for dough:-
In a deep bowl add all the ingredients of red color dough and knead properly for making soft smooth dough. Keep it aside .
Repeat the same procedure for orange and green color dough.

Process for making momos :-





Take a small sized dough coat it with the flour. Roll it with the help of rolling pin. Roll it thin.
Now cut it from the help of cookie cutter. Place 3 puris as shown in the picture.




Now fill them with veggie as shown in the picture.

Now Overlap and stick them with little water as shown in the picture.




Now roll the puris for making rose shape momo. Make all the momos like this and keep aside.

Steam all the momos for around 20-25 minutes.



Serve hot with schezwan chutney.
